My fiance had 30+ marathon medals just sitting a box.  I wanted to get these hard earned medals to use and out in the open.  I wanted to create something unqiue.  So, I cut off the ribbon part of the medals and went to work.....

CK Interior design - Wedding store change room

I was given the opportunity to create, and design a change room for the NEWEST wedding dress shop in town (Mrs. Bridal Botique).  All the hardwork paid off and it fits perfect in their new store!

 

As you can see I had an entire open floor to build the changeroom.

 When I started, I had no idea the what size change room was needed in this wedding dress store.  We figured it would be best to make it as big as possible.

 After all the wood studs were in place, it was now time to drywall both inside and outside the changeroom.....

 Next, the messy part....putty...

 The changeroom was then sanded and primed.  We then added the trim / baseboards / accent pieces.  Finally, a couple coats of paint and it was ready for business....

The story behind the driftwood....

All of these handcrafted creations were specially designed from the driftwood found in the Kawartha Lakes.  To start, we had to handpick the unique pieces that can work into a design...either a lamp, chalkboard, picture frame etc.  Once we have selected the pieces, they are then dried and sanded.  When each piece has gone through this process, we combine the pieces to make each design.  Each creation has its own unique look and identity.

Finally......got my blog going!  I have recently created some interesting things that I wanted to share with you.  I have designed and built a changeroom at the BEST wedding dress shop in town http://www.mrsbridalboutique.com/.  I also just created some intersting drink coasters for your old running medals.  Most recently, I have started to create some interesting driftwood lamps and chalkboards.
